Welcome to Qiskit Fall Fest : IITR 2025


We're excited to have you here. This event is being hosted by the Quantum Computing Group (QCG), IIT Roorkee in collaboration with IBM Quantum.


The Qiskit Fall Fest is a collection of quantum computing events created and planned by university students and volunteer hosts, with support from IBM Quantum.


Here at IIT Roorkee, we present a comprehensive series of workshops on Quantum Computing to familiarise beginners with the fascinating world of QC. This will be followed by our main event, the "Dead & Alive 4.0" Hackathon, starting October 29th, 2025. This is your chance to explore the vast and intriguing world of Quantum Computing through innovative projects and challenges.

Hackathon Details and Rules

  1. The ‘Dead & Alive 4.0’ Hackathon will take place from 31st October 9:00 PM to 2nd November 9:00 PM.

    1. General Prompt:
      • Open to all students of IIT Roorkee.
      • Team formation is allowed, but each participant must register individually.
      • Team registration will open at the start of the hackathon during the opening ceremony. The form will remain open, editable throughout the event, and will be locked by November 2nd, 9PM.
      • Submissions must be made through the submission form (available in the #Prompts section) before 9:00 PM on 2nd November. Late submissions will not be accepted.
      • In addition to solving the problem statement, teams must also submit a presentation (via a drive or SharePoint link); to be presented to a panel of judges on 3rd November. Further details on the presentation round will be shared later.

    2. Freshers Prompt:
      • Open to all 1st-year UG/PG students of IIT Roorkee.
      • This is an individual prompt. Team formation is not permitted.
      • Submissions must be made via the submission form (available in the #Prompts section) before 9:00 PM on 2nd November. Late submissions will not be accepted.

  2. The problem statements for all prompts will be released in the #Prompts section after the opening ceremony.

All participants who submit their projects will receive a participation certificate, issued by Student Technical Council (STC) in May-June 2026.
